Each of us can make decisions, innovate and choose to support initiatives that change the way we and others see the world and our roles within it. It takes one person to ask a question or take up a cause that can set off a cascade of effects to be felt globally.
Queen's International Development Conference is a student run conference that aims to provide our delegates with information, networks and resources that will enable them to become or remain highly involved in the international development community.
The conference is geared toward ambitious individuals interested in development issues as well as what their role is in contributing to the betterment of our world. The first conference was 4 years ago and we are continually striving to engage more students in a variety of topics each year. The conference intends to not only create awareness of the many issues surrounding international development, but to encourage and inspire individuals to live socially responsible lives.
This year, one of our prime objectives is to go beyond simply sharing information. Through our interactive workshops and diverse panel discussions, we hope to offer you a taste of practical ways to apply your knowledge to various projects or initiatives.
Each of us has the potential to make great impacts in this world. Join us, and Walk the Talk! |
